HAVENS HOSPICES

We are honoured to support Havens Hospices.

When a family has been told that there’s no cure for their loved one’s illness and all that can be done is to make life comfortable, Havens Hospices can help.

Fair Havens Hospice, Little Havens Hospice and The J’s focus on the individual needs of the adults, young adults and children they care for, ‘Making every day count’ for those with life-limiting illnesses, and their families.

They’re the only place in the area wholly dedicated to looking after those with an illness which could shorten their life.

Their hospices help by controlling pain and medication, offering short respite breaks and caring for each child and patient at the end of their lives.

SCOTT & CHRIS CREATE A PODCAST

Scott & Chris have set up and begun recording regular episodes of a new podcast, Cash Goals. Their aim is to be able to provide some guidance and financial planning tips for individuals who aren’t able to use a financial adviser or perhaps cannot afford to pay for financial advice. Colloquially known in the industry as the ‘advice gap’, there are reportedly up to 21 million individuals who have fallen into this category.

Each show will focus on the things people need to get right, and the mistakes they need to avoid, to keep their finances on track and plan for the future they want.

The show can be found here:

CISI FINANCIAL PLANNING WEEK

Montage are proud to continue to be part of CISI’s annual Financial Planning Week.

Every year the CISI host a week long campaign dedicated to raising public awareness of the value that financial planning adds to a client’s life and aims to encourage the nation to take care of their finances.

The annual campaign, originally launched in 2016 and organised by the not-for-profit, professional body the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), encourages consumers throughout the UK to book a free session with a financial planner during the week in October. These confidential meetings allow people to experience first-hand the life-changing guidance offered by the financial planning profession.

The CISI is encouraging the financial planning community, led by CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM professionals, to commit now to being involved by offering their time and expertise pro-bono. With the primary aim being to help people organise their finances to achieve specific life goals, the campaign seeks to help consumers build financial confidence, combat anxiety and stress about money and deal with life’s challenges around day-to-day financial decisions.

CHELMSFORD MARATHON

We are proud to say that on the crisp October morning of October 20th Chris took part in the Chelmsford Marathon as part of our continued support for Havens Hospices.

It was a hard slog, 26 miles is a long way in anyone’s book, but he made it in one piece taking 5:04 hours to get round the course.

If you haven’t gotten around to it yet and did still want to donate you can do so by clicking on the Chelmsford Marathon logo on the right to donate.

ROUGH RUNNER FOR HAVENS HOSPICES

We are delighted to report that Peter, Scott, Dave, Chris, Dougie and Jo from Montage, as well as Tom (Peter’s son), Meg (Scott’s wife) and Amy (Dave’s fiancée) all completed this year’s Rough Runner obstacle course for Haven’s Hospice.

The course was 5km long and had 10 gruelling obstacles along the run.

We are really proud of the whole team for giving it their all and for the amazing sum that we have raised so far towards this year’s fantastic cause.
